This is Mark Gwizdala. I drove truck and delivered beer and then bread for over 20 years. Then getting injured breaking my wrist and having back surgery along with reconstructive surgery on both ankles and my wrist they finally gave me disability because I had contracted COPD. Well enough about me. I began driving and taking patients because it put a little bit of money in my pocket after almost losing everything because of being disabled. It has become more than that now. Northern Star Transportation was started in 2008 by Dr. Ray Augenstein PhD, Dr. Augenstein is an Ordained Minister, and a Licensed Counselor. He has a concern for people getting to their Doctor and Hospital appointments safely and in comfort, without fear or concern over those who are responsible to make sure they reach their appointments on time. It grew from it's conception until we now have a office staff of 10 dedicated clerks, and over 100 volunteer drivers. This is a Family owned and operated business. It is Christian Based, Non-profit organization governed by a board of trustees.

Our services are also available on a contractual or non-contractual basis for facilities or for private individuals just looking for transportation. Call our office and we will take care of all you transportation needs. We service state wide and Northern Ohio. We do Non-emergency transportation for ambulatory patients. Our drivers are trained in Defensive Driving, First Aid, and CPR. Our vehicles are climate controlled for your comfort. Our drivers have cell phones in each vehicle, most of them also have GPS. Each vehicle is fully insured and inspected daily. We welcome family member ride alongs. We also have door to door service.
